Paraguayan Tea

Paraguayan tea keeps bodies health for a long life.

People of South America have their own way of body cleansing. It is a made from Mate folium and made into a drink.

About 30 million people around the world use Mate, especially in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Paraguay. That tea is completely different from any tea we are used to and it is not actually a tea. It can be used as one of the methods for purification of the body. When people try Mate for the first time they experience a surge of energy and happiness.

The first records on the benefits of taking Mate are received from people of the Indian tribe Guarany. Their legends tell about the Great God of the Sun that came down from the heavens and taught Guarany religion, agriculture and medicine. Among many medicinal herbs he specified Mate Folium, showed how to grow it and how to use it in healing drinks. Indians believed that Mate gave strength, cured all illnesses, brought relief for melancholy and grief, and prolonged life. They used it to ease physical and mental exhaustion, as well as a treatment for cold and flu fevers.

Paraguayan tea is a source of longevity. In tribes that consume lots of Mate Folium, there are many registered long-livers over 100 years old, and during hungry times Mate Folium serves as the essential food supply.

Mate Folium is an evergreen tree up to 13 meters in height with big jagged leaves of oval shape, and is grown in South America. Caffein, tannic and aromatic substances, theobromine, theophylline and traces of vanilla, vitamins A, C, E and P, all vitamins of group B, microelements such as sulfur, magnesium, calcium, manganese, sodium, iron, copper and chlorine are found in its leaves.

Numerous researches have shown that Mate works as a light laxative and soft diuretic, improves the functions of the digestive system, normalizes blood pressure and expands blood vessels, and improves blood circulation in capillaries which results in the improvement of the memory and nervous system. Paraguayan tea helps certain types of migraines, and can also be used as a preventative along with a treatment. Mate Folium is also useful at treating depression, rheumatism and diabetes.

Mate is not simply a tasty refreshing drink but can also be an additional way to treat obesity as it suppresses hunger up to the point when people can easily stay off solid food for many days without any harmful consequences to their bodies.
